All done

All the laundry in the whole house is done (until the kids get back from camping, then I have tons)!.

The Buffalo Bills baby blanket is done. Pics to follow when Jeff gets home with my camera.

Blood work done. I go get my rogam shot on Monday ( I can't wait)

Glucose test is done. Man, I forgot how bad that stuff tastes. Then I read the disclaimer on the bottle. Can cause nausea, diarea, faintness, etc, etc, etc. Why do we do this to prego women again. I took a little comfort in the fact there were 4 other prego women taking the same test and all of them gagged it down too.

The Dr. Apt went good. 5 min in and out. Listened to the heart beat, measured my tummy (right on track) and weighed me. I gained 1.4 lbs this past month. That is a total of 6.4 lbs the whole pregnancy. Not too bad. I am expecting the weight to shoot up now that I can eat almost anything. I bought a whole box of zingers and I don't plan on sharing with anyone. That should be good for 20lbs right there. I have to go to the drs every 2 weeks for June then I get to go every week in July and part of aug. I told the dr about my plans on having the baby mid july. I don't know why she laughted and shouted something about me being on crack. She must have been talking to someone else.

I am going to take a nap and the pick up a little before the kids come home.

Then off to the baptism...

THanks to Chris

Ok, I was reading Chris's blog. She had a link to a book "If Books could talk". About breast feeding. This is really funny and worth the time to click on. Thank you Chris. You made my day. I would like to own this book myself.

http://www.ifboobscouldtalk.com/home.html Then click on the left side that says view book (or something like that).

Things to do while the kids are gone

I want to start and finish the Buffalo Bills blanket for the baby (mostly for Jeff, because the baby is already a charger's fan. That reminds me that I need to make a bigger and better blanket out of charger material). I already have everything to make it, I just have to tie it and finish it. I will work on that next.

I already went to humanitarian aid. Amanda and Diana came (from Girl Scouts). Allyson and Summer always come (When Allyson is not at school). Allyson and Diana tied 3 blankets all by themselves. NICE WORK LADIES!!!

I got and ate my big mac (the one I needed last night, but Jeff wouldn't get it for me).

My goal is to get caught up on all the laundry before the kids get back with all their smelly camping clothes.

I have a couple of movies to watch latter tonight when I am too scared to sleep without anyone else in the house.

Tomorrow I get to take my glucose test and my RH neg blood work (that is when they work up a special shot that they stick in my butt that burns. It is really fun and the highlight of my pregnancy. At least Jeff won't be there to mock me endlessly. He thinks it is the funniest thing. I keep asking the Dr if they would give Jeff one, just for fun. But I guess they don't like giving random, needles shots to people who don't need them. WHATEVER!!!

Then I have a reg dr apt at 10am, I love getting weighed and measured. I will get to hear the babies heart beat again ( My favorite part).

There is a possible Girl Scout council trip afterwards.

Then the kids come home. I get them cleaned up and dressed for a baptism.

Camping with the kids

Jeff is taking the kids camping tomorrow. They are so excited. We heard from the Bradshaws that it has been raining all week and that is a good possibility that they will get rained on. But they still want to go.

I will be staying home. Even though I am stronger than I was a couple weeks ago, I am still not strong enough for portapotties. There is only so much a prego woman can take and that is defiantly on the other side of the line.

I will be at home getting my blood work taken, a dr apt and the car checked out. Sounds fun? I know I can't wait. I have never slept alone in a house before. Growing up there were way too many kids, I was never alone. The BYU I had 5 other room mates. Never alone. Then I got married and never been apart except with the kids were with me. I hope I don't freak myself out.

Homemaker my butt!

So I used to have dreams...dreams of being a stay at home mom. Having dinner on the table when my man got home. Having a clean house. Happy kids.

WHATEVER!
Well, today I face my fears, I just suck as a homemaker. I hate cleaning. I avoid it at all costs! I wish I could keep a clean house, but it never makes it the whole day. Most of the time it doesn't even make it an hour!
And the cooking!!!! I know I joke about not being able to cook (so does Jeff) but I can't! I try. I try. I try. I can cook a couple of things here and there. But on the whole I suck.
EXAMPLE: Today I wake up not feeling well (just swollen, cranky, tired, prego). But I decide that I am still going to be a good mom and have a semi clean house ( I was just trying for the down stairs. I have given up on the upstairs). So I went to the store with the kids to get the items I needed to make treats for the kids during the week.
Today I was going to make my own syrup for snow cones out of Koo laid and Sugar. Found a recipe online, three steeps, easy!
WHATEVER!
It turned out so thick that we couldn't even use it. So I thought I would make Carmel Apples for after dinner (because I felt so bad at messing up the snow cones). Well they look horrible. I think I should have let Jakob dip them, I think he would have done a better job.
After that mess up I thought I would try and make monkey bread for dessert. Found another EASY recipe. Put it in the oven... I then took out the bread when the fire alarms went off! Yep, the syrup overflowed and smoke was everywhere! AT least I know that when the kids hear the alarm they run outside. I guess I could have called it a fire drill. They all passed with flying colors. The top of the bread looked great. Golden brown, but when I flipped it, the dough was still dough. And of course I couldn't get it back in the pan to cook it again.
So I started dinner. Nice and easy spaghetti.
WHATEVER!
I put the garlic bread back in the oven and the syrup from the monkey bread started smoking again. Alarms went off and smoke filled the air. I hear Jakob yell "Fire" and then Logan say "no, it's just mom cooking".
My day sucked! And I get to get up in the morning and do it all again. After 11 years of marriage you think I could cook without setting off the fire alarms.

Revenge...Can life get any better?

So one of the things we have done ever since Kellsie was little, was to fill up a bunch of water balloons and wait until Jeff gets off work and soak him.

When the kids were small, Jeff would be nice and let them hit him with water balloons. Now that the kids are older, Jeff gives them NO MERCY! The kids end up soaked every time.

Last night the kids wanted to do water balloons again, I knew how it would play out if we used the same organization. So we changed it up. We asked the girls across the street to help us out. Jillian is 12 yrs, Mary is pictured below and is 14 yrs and Maureen is 16 yrs. We had three water faucets filling up balloons. All the mixing bowls and pictures from both of our homes filled with water balloons. We placed them in all the bushes at our house and their house. We put some under cars, between fences and each kids had their own container.

Here is Mary. She caught Jeff in the corner of a fence and pelted him with water balloons until she ran out! She is the hero of the story. If you can tell Logan is jumping up and down with excitement! Jeff was so soaked and Logan was thrilled about it.

before Jakob would throw a balloon, he would bite it, so it started leaking. He is under the impression that it pops faster that way. IT worked, Jakob hit his dad many times!

Here are all the kids joining Mary in corralling Jeff by the fence and hitting him with everything they had. THE PROUDEST DAY OF MY LIFE!

At one point Jeff ran in the house to take off his work shoes, because they were really wet. Kellsie was waiting for him to come back outside. Jeff (the whimp that he turned out to be) was sneaking out the back door, around the back fence to sneak up on his sweet little girl behind her. But it didn't work. Mary saw him and tossed a picture of water on him.
Jeff usually turns on me sometime during the fight, but he didn't want to miss and hit my belly (thank heavens!).
The kids had a blast. Jeff was impressed and I got tons of pics of Jeff soaked. Once he approves the ones of him, I will upload them. They are the best!

Super Shopping

The kids and I went to Savors for their 50% off sale. We got tons of clothes for our sweet little (unless he is kicking me) boy. Then we went to the grocery store and stocked up on Chicken and Ground beef that was on sale.

I loved the first day of summer vacation with my kids. They did their work on time, we went shopping, they played in the back and then after dinner we played with the neighbor kids out front.

Life is good!

More of the garden planted

For mother's day the kids and Jeff planted most of the garden. Tomatoes, Peppers, garlic. This weekend we planted kohlrabi, cauliflower, cucumbers, corn and sunflowers.

Jeff is working on some landscaping within the next couple weeks and we will have more room to plant pumpkins and cantaloupe. I am excited for the pumpkins!

Kellsie is going to work on a wildflower patch along the front fence.

More funnies...

Thanks to my friend Kristi who sent me these. They really made me laugh...

Funnies...

Kellsie's video of riding the bike at explora

She was so scared! She is afraid of heights, but I was proud that she did it anyway. The quality of the video is not the best, but until I get a new camera you will have to suffer through it. ENJOY!

Explora sleep over with the Girl Scouts

I took the girls to Explora last night for a sleep over (Summer came with us, Thank Heavens). They earned the special night if they sold over 200 boxes of cookies this year.

Kellsie got to play with electricity.
Kellsie getting ready for bed (but didn't really go to bed until hours latter. Well past 1am)

They let the girls try and ride the bike that was 2 stories above the floor. Kellsie was the only one who wanted to try it. Video to follow.

Kellsie and Jessica were together most of the night. I couldn't get a really clear shot of them, because they were always on the go.

Here is a pic of all the Girl Scouts who went to the sleep over. About 4 troops were there.

The night started on friday at 6:30pm and ended sat morning at 8:30am. We had a fun time, but I am so ready for a nap.

Logan's awards

Here is Logan's class all making funny faces.
Here is the girl in Logan's class who totally likes him. I think she is adorable and I wouldn't mind her as a daughter in law in about 20 years.

Logan with a drawing that he got to do. He didn't want to take the pic, but I made him.

Here he is with his two awards. Perfect Spelling and Perfect Homework. He missed out on the Perfect Attendance, but I knew that wasn't going to happen.

Logan's Play Day at the Park

Logan's class rotated games at the park.

Here is Logan playing the water game where you have to pass a soaked sponge over your head to fill up a bucket. Very funny game to watch.
Logan and Jakob playing duck duck goose. You would think that would be too young for them, but they laughed the whole time.

One of the teachers bought a jumper.
Logan kept taking brakes to give me a hug. What a sweet kid.

Logan and his homies playing basketball.

Kellsie's Play Day At School

The 4th grade had a bunch of stations at the park, so the kids rotated water games, movies and games.

Here Kellsie and Jakob are having to soak a sponge and run it to the bucket and ring it out. Then the teams would take the filled buckets and toss the water on the other teams. Not a lot of skill involved, but everyone got wet.
FUNNY STORY!!! I was sitting back taking pics and I see a bunch of boys gather in a circle and life up one arm. I got the pic too late, but you can still see one boy doing it. I got closer to see what they were doing...they were com pairing armpit hair. The winner was the boy who had "Two black hairs". They had decided that hair that was white really didn't count. I was trying not to pee my pants when I walked away laughing!
Kellsie and Jakob playing another water game. They had to pass a soaked sponge over their heads and then fill up a bucket.

The girls took every chance they got to layout in the sun. Jakob made sure they stayed his distance from the girls.

Here is Kellsie's best friend at school...shayla.

Putting together the crib

Here is a picture of the boys putting together the crib for the baby. We all put it together, but I couldn't hold the

sides and take pictures of everyone at the same time, so the boys are the only ones who got their pic taken. And by the looks of it, you have to tilt your head to get the correct view...sorry.

Father and son camp out

Last weekend the boys and Jeff went on the father and son camp out. They drove 2 1/2 hours to get at the camp site. They left a little earlier with some other friends, so they could have some more time up there.

They went hiking... Climbed in ditches with logs...

Roasted marshmellows (Isn't that the whole reason to go camping anyway?)
They were so dirty when they got back. Jeff made them take 2 baths, to get all the dirt off.

Last week of school

Friday is the last day of school for the kids. So of course the teachers plan something fun and exciting that the kids can do everyday that their parents can attend.

Monday was Kellsie's play day. At the park with water games. Jakob and I were there to play and help out.

Tuesday Logan's teacher needed help with Father's Day gifts (but last min, she didn't need me, so I helped in the Library). Then Kellsie had a soccer game with her class. Kellsie's class and a fifth grade class were playing for first place. They lost, but it was still a good game

Wed is Logan's play day with water. I get to stay out in the sun and help with that. But Jakob will get to play too, so I am fine with going.

Thursday is Logan's awards thing and then I help his teacher take down some of her class room. This is also the day Kellsie's teacher picks who takes care of the animals for the summer (they have birds, fish, 4 guinea pigs, 1 snake and 1 gecko). Kellsie is in the drawing and I hope and pray she does not get to take anyone home. But with my luck, we will get the Snake or the smelly guinea pigs or the hard to clean birds or the gecko that gets live food. Well, I should be proud that Kellsie was chosen responsible enough to even go in the drawing. My own fault for teaching her. I will correct that with the boys!

Friday is Logan's class party with gifts and then I go to Kellsie's Parry with a raffle and slide show.

Friday is a sleep over at explora with the girl scouts. I am really excited about going with the girls. Not sleeping on the floor while prego, but I am still excited!

It looks like Jeff has sat off, so I have a long honey do list for him, and I know he is so excited and willing to complete the list. RIGHT JEFF???

Jeff

I have the best husband!
I love you Jeff!

Getting ready for the baby

I feel so behind in getting ready for the baby. I still need to go up to Los Alamos to get most of the baby stuff from my friend Gina (she rocks if you didn't know). We are putting all the stuff in our room and the crib and dresser are not fitting like we had hoped. Feeling a little cramped and I don't like it. Wish I could wave a magic wand and make it all look nice and fit right.

I have a couple packs of diapers, we just got the crib set up today (thanks to summer for the crib and Laurel for the mattress). WE put it up as a family. It was fun! Jakob was so excited to get it up. He has been asking me every day since we got it from Summer.

Kellsie set up the dresser and we got the clothes put away. Now I have a better idea of what I still need.

My mom is coming in July for Logan's baptism and she said she knows how to make crib sheets. So I need to go and get some material and get it ready for when she gets here.

Funny, I forgot how much room a newborn takes up. Such a small body with big stuff.

MOTHERS

Real Mothers don't eat quiche; they don't have time to make it.

Real Mothers know that their kitchen utensils
are probably in the sandbox.

Real Mothers often have sticky floors,
filthy ovens and happy kids.

Real Mothers know that dried play dough
doesn't come out of carpets.

Real Mothers don't want to know what
the vacuum just sucked up.

Real Mothers sometimes ask 'Why me?'
and get their answer when a littlevoice says, 'Because I love you best.'

Real Mothers know that a child's growth
is not measured by height or years or grade...
It is marked by the progression of Mommy to Mom to Mother...

Friends at school

Since the multicultural day on wed is a relaxed setting, the kids get to have fun with their friends while they are looking around at all the countries.

Police Dogs

The police came out with their police dogs and showed the kids how they train them and how they attack a bad guy. It is pretty cool. The kids loved it!

THE FOOD!

That is one of my favorite parts of multicultural day is the food. We had snow cones, fry bread, Carmel suckers and honey sticks. Could the day get any better?

Crazy hair

At multicultural Day at the kids school on wed the student council was spray painting the kids hair for 1.00 each. So all the kids sprayed their hair red. They thought it was way cool. I on the other hand hated the way it got on my tshirt, my pants, me arm and the kids clothes. Once they got home from school, I had them wash it off in the bath. But they looked cool most of the day.

They took forever

On wed was our schools multicultural day. So the day before the kids work on the country they picked and decorate their class rooms or hall way accordingly. The second grade chose China. They made Chinese lanterns and learned how to make Chinese characters. I stayed there most of the day and stapled them all together and then helped one of the teachers hang them.

Jakob got to make one too, but he was planning on taking it home that day. We accidental stapled his like everyone Else's. He will get to bring his home another day. They looked pretty cool hanging there.
Below is Jakob's. It says fire and earth.

Fishing again

Jeff took the boys fishing on tuesday evening. Logan caught another one, but it was still too small to keep. He was really sad.

Father and Son Camp Out

The boys are going on a Father and Son camp out with Jeff this weekend. They are going with our church. The boys are packing right now (it is thurs afternoon). I am going shopping for their food after dinner.

But I am really excited about the Mother Daughter date we have going on. We are going out to dinner (to be determined) and then home to watch some movies ( I am hoping something other than Camp Rock or High School Musical). We are still working out the details.

Then on sat morning we are going up to the mega garage sale to get some much needed baby stuff and then back to get Kellsie to a girl scout activity.

FUN STUFF

Missionaries for Dinner

The Missionaries are coming for dinner tonight. I had better stop updating the blog and make sure down stairs looks clean.

Jeff is making chicken stir fry for mother's day dinner. I can eat chicken and the spicier the better, so I hope he puts lots of hot sauce in my dish.

Then we will eat the cherry cheese cake and apple pies that we bought for the Young Women fundraiser.

Or maybe I will have a piece of apple pie right now and then have dinner and then have more pie. YEAH! I love that idea!

Mother's Day

I hope you guys had a wonderful mother's day!

The kids have been so excited about their gifts. They have been trying to give them to me all week.

My biggest kid (Jeff) gave me one of them on weds. He bought me a picture that matches my kitchen that says "Live, Laugh, Love". That is my favorite saying! And I am glad he got it for me.
This morning Jeff handed me a 4lb container of licorice (one of the only sweets that doesn't make me sick). I can't wait to chow down. He also bought flowers with Logan last night. Logan wanted me to know that they got the prettiest bunch at the store. They are so pretty.

Kellsie got an art kit for her Birthday and made me a flower pencil art work and framed it. I think I will put it in my room. She also made me a butterfly magnet for my fridge. She made a big Mother's Day card for me and on the inside was a drawing of me pregnant and one of me pregnant and laying on the floor (she thought it was funny to draw what I looked like when I fainted).

Logan drew a portrait of me. Big eyes and big smile. I am glad he thinks of me that way. He also found me the finger nail polish that I have been looking for.

Jakob wrapped up things he found in his bedroom and gave them all to me. I got 3 of Logan's belts, a flashlight and a magnet from a game. I love gifts like that! He was so happy, he was jumping up and down while I was unwrapping them.

Then at church the kids sang a Mother's Day Song. and After that the men got up and Sang "Love at Home". I know Jeff doesn't like to sing, but he did it anyways. Jakob thought it was funny that I was crying.

picnic at the part

Here is our picnic at the park. I only took a picture of Jakob and then I left. I wasn't feeling too good. But the kids had fun. One of the Young Men was pushing the kids on the tire swing and spinning them around. Logan threw up (that was kinda funny), but the kids loved it. Kellsie got to hang out with Allyson (from church and girl scouts).

Cub Scout Fundraiser breakfast

Saturday morning we got to the church at 6:30AM to help with the cub scout breakfast. Logan starts cubscouts in the summer and he needed to help with the breakfast to earn money for cob scout day camp. Jeff helped with the cooking. Logan helped with the set up and with serving. I helped set up the food before I left for the cannery.

I am so proud of how hard you worked Logan!
