Wolverine

I just got tickets online to take Jeff to see Wolverine tomorrow afternoon. I am excited because Hugh Jackson is a hottie (not a cute as Jeff, but really close), and because I love the x-men movies.

Jeff's birthday is on the 5th, so this will be his birthday date. I love going on dates with him!

The weeds

So the weeds have been growing out front for a couple weeks, but I havn't had the energy. So today I ask the kids to help me pull weeds. They did it without complaining! When we were done with the front yard, I told the kids to stop, get a pop sickle and asks the neighbor kids if they wanted to play. The kids came back with their grandma, Vicky who helped me weed the side yard. She wouldn't take no for an answer.

This woman is amazing! When she found out that I was prego and not feeling so well, she started coming over almost everyday at 4pm to take my kids to her house and play with her grand kids. She brings them home at 5pm.

It is great for two reasons, first because I try and take a nap, but mostly because I don't feel like a horrible mom who is too worn out to play with my kids.

Anyway, she has been a lifesaver and I hope I can find a way to repay her someday. It can't be with my cooking, but I will find something!

31 cent night

AT Baskin Robins it was 31cent scoop night. I took the kids and got them each a double ( I know, I spent a whole .62cents on each of them).
Logan got chocolate and cookies and cream
Kellsie got cookies and cream and cherry choc.

Jakob got cherry choc and chocolate

I got ice cream as well, but I really shouldn't have eaten it. I got really sick afterwards. But is tasted really good.
The fire dept was outside collecting money for the red cross. I explained what that was and Logan donated 1.50 to them (that was all the money he had in the whole world). While we were eating ice cream he asked if he would get blessings for what he did. I told him I knew he would. Then he asked if he would need to tell Heavenly Father about what he did or if he already knew. I told him that Heavenly Father already knew, but would still like to hear it from Logan.
I was really proud of him. I have such good kids.

IS she talented or what???

Last Thursday I took Kellsie to Humanitarian Aid with me. She had picked out material for a blanket for her baby brother. She put them together and made a receiving blanket for him. Didn't she do a good job? She picked the edging stich and did it herself.

I am so proud of her. She did such great work.

Cheerleading

So Kellsie's 4th grade class is in a competition with the other 4th and 5th grade classes to see what class will win in soccer. It is double elimination and so far Kellsie's team has won both their games. Kellsie is one of the cheerleaders and they do cheers and hold up posters.

This is her with her TA, Mrs. Sue.
Here she is with a couple other of the girls and a sign that says "Let's Go Frijoles". That is their teams name. Doesn't that mean "Beans"???
I was able to stop by the last game for a couple mins and say hi to Kellsie. She is such a good girl and I love her so much!

Boys playing Wii

They are playing Wii while the girls were upstairs. They are playing a game where you DON'T have to stay move around, but Jakob can't stand still. In the picture he is still jumping.

Blowing out the candles

I forgot these with the other party pics. Isn't Kellsie amazingly beautiful. She gets that from ME!

Poor Kellsie had to only blow out 5 candles. I think I need to add them to my shopping list.

More of Mohaw the bear

I down loaded more pics and found more pictures taken by Jakob. Here is Mohawk the bear standing on cleaning wipes, laundry baskey and snake cage. There were about 20 more, but I can't upload them all. I know you are sad. Don't cry.

Birthday Party Slumber Party

Kellsie had her slumber party last night. I made the girls go to bed at 1am. I was just too tired to stay up any longer. Here are the pics.

Here are all the girls that came. Kellsie had a blast. We played pictionary, charades, ate pizza, chips and soda and watched " Enchanted". We had pancakes and waffles for breakfast.
I need a nap.

Kellsie's Cake's

Kellsie wanted to decorate her own cake this year. I made one ice cream cake int he shape of a heart and one normal chocolate cake. She got to decorate both of them. I couldn't find my decorating tools, so she had to use a plastic bag, but she had so much fun.

The above one says "Kellsie Rules" The below one says " Love ME!"

Didn't she do a great job?

reocurring story

"Jakob will you please go clean your room"

That is how it always starts. Then he comes down and tells me it is all clean. I ask him if he cleaned under his bed, "YES". Did you clean under your dresser, "YES", Did you clean your closet? "YES"

Then I go and check. WHATEVER! He put everything he owns under the dresser, under the bed and thrown in the closet. It takes more work to get his stuff under the bed, then it would to just put his clothes away. WHY???

Slumber Party tonight!

Kellsie is really excited about her slumber party tonight. Their school is 1/2 day and she can't wait to come home and get ready for her party. Little does she know that getting ready for her party will involve cleaning.

Update on Stone

So Jeff has no budged on the name "Stone" for our baby. He keeps telling me that he will get to the birth cert first and just fill in the name. So I have a solution:

I am going to tell the nurse that Jeff is NOT the father of this baby!

Take that Jeff. I win! You loose!

Joan, do you love me the most?

Mohawk the bear

Jakob got this little polar bear at the end of last year. He has been calling it Logan the bear. But since I will not let him name the baby "Mohawk" he has changed the name of his bear.

I found another 50 pics taken by Jakob of the bear all around my house. You can follow the link to his blog to see 5 of the best pictures that he took.

Fishing with Dad

Jeff took the kids fishing at Tingley Beach on Saturday. They had a lot of fun but didn't catch anything.

Look how adorable my kids are!

Easter

I know I am late, but what can you do.

Here is Jakob with eggs. Easter Egg coloring is so much fun.
Kellsie loves doing the multicolored eggs.

Here is the chocolate baseball glove that grandma Jakob sent. He ate that really fast.

Here is the chocolate football logan got from grandma.

Like Jeff's bunny? It is still in the pantry. I am hoping he forgets about it until after I have the baby and I can eat choc again. Boy would I love that!

Slumber Party

Kellsie's birthday was in feb. Of course I was sick then and didn't have the power to entertain 10 girls. So this weekend is her 10th birthday party sleepover. We have 9 confirmed girls coming and Kellsie is really excited.

I already started to make her ice cream cake. I picked up the sodas and chips today. Jeff is picking up the pizzas on the way home tomorrow and I am making waffels for in the morning.

We just have to pick out a movie that all the girls will like and let the giggling and running start.

I am kinda glad that I am having another boy. Girls take way more work. Logan's party just needs pizza and a football.

Football Update

Logan won the all incompasing football game that was so important in his life. They won 100 to 90 (They multiply each touchdown by 10, so it sounds better).

They got to pick one of the players from the losing team. They picked the fastes funner who was also the team captian. NICE PICK!

The drama is now over. Life can go back to normal.

Creamy Mac and Cheese

My mother in Law sent this to me, I can't wait to try it.

Creamy Macaroni and Cheese

The way a kids mind works...

Logan came home on wed really stressed out. You see he plays football during recess. They divide into teams and play different teams each day. Then they have a Superbowl. Well Logan told me that there is a really big game coming up and the boys made a bet.

The bet was that if their team looses, none of the boys on that team can EVER play football again for the rest of their lives ( I tried to hid the fact that I was laughing). This bothered Logan since he is playing for Dallas Cowboys when he grows up and he didn't want to loose the game on Thursday and never be able to play football again.

I told him I didn't like that bet and they should pick something else to do. So on thurs after school I asked what happened at the game. They chose to not have a game because most of the boys were upset about not playing football for the rest of their lives and they were trying to pick the new bet.

The new bet was. If Logan's team won, the other team would have to pray for one of the boys dogs that was sick or having puppies. If the other team won, then Logan's team would have to pray for one of the boys grandma's who was in the hospital.

Then they said that they should be praying for both the dog and the grandma, so they picked another bet. The winning team would get a player from the loosing team.

MUCH BETTER! Now Logan can play for the Cowboys and pray for both the dog and a grandma. I love the way it turned out!

Gotta love the way a kids mind works.

Are you kidding me?

So since I am still not at the top of my game, we decorated Easter Eggs on Easter Night (I know pushing the limits).

I didn't have a table cloth to put on the table, so I prayed, asked, pleaded and threatened my kids NOT to spill the dye.

But of course it spilled. The bright pink. But my kids didn't do it...My husband did!

So today I bought a plastic brown table cloth to put on my 1/2 pink 1/2 wood colored table.

He is so lucky that I love him and that he is good at dishes or man...pow, right to the moon!

Giras/Logan Family Competition!

So we have some major football fans in our families. Jeff's side of the family loves the Buffalo Bills ( I know they suck, but I didn't understand the vastness of it until AFTER I was married).
And my family is all about the San Diego Chargers (They even painted one of their bathrooms in the charger colors. Those are true fans. Top that Joan!).
Since I can't buy any of that stuff in the stores out here, I am offering a friendly family challenge. The family that buys the most football team baby stuff for this new addition to our family will win.
No prize will be offered. Just bragging rights!
Ready! Set! Go!

Jakob and 1 glove

I don't know why, but Jakob has been wearing just one glove lately. I don't know if he heard that Michael Jackson is doing more concerts or what. So I just snapped a quick pic of him.

Notice in the back ground my old fridge is still in the kitchen. We still need to clean it and put it up for sale. Or maybe we can just keep it there for fun!

Jeff and Logan bonding!

Last sunday Jeff wanted to make french fries for dinner. He taught Logan how to cut them just right for the best tasting french fries in the world. No one got hurt and everyone came away happy. Gotta love Jeff for teaching our kids how to cook.

Maybe it is pay back???

Jakob is the only one at home with me during the school hours. I was making baby blankets and he wanted to help. I put him to work ironing ( I hate to iron and I am pretty good at getting out of it). So I asked Jakob to iron. He is really good at it. He even asked if he could iron his shirts upstairs. I of course said yes.
Maybe this is why Jeff insists on calling our next son "Stone" and making him have a skulls blanket. Could this be my fault? NO! I still blame his mother (sorry Joan, you know I love you, but this all falls on you).

I am too weak to fight...

When we found out that I was having another boy, I was a little sad at first. I really thought I was having a girl. I even already made a couple blankets for my new little baby girl. So Jeff took me to Joann's fabric on the way home from the sonogram to let me pick out cool fabric for my sweet little baby boy.

I found what I liked. Light blue and green striped fabric. light blue baseball fabric. I was so excited. But then Jeff started looking. WHY DOES MY LIFE SUCK!!!

Here is the guitar fabric with the red and yellow flames behind them. This is for my baby boy. Here is the skulls and cross bones fabric with the red and yellow flames. He plans on making this one for church. When we walk in with this blanket people will fall on their knees and start praying for the salvation of our souls. This is for my little baby boy.

This was the only fabric I could salvage from our little trip. Darker blue with puppy dogs and bones. At least people won't think we are freaks with this blanket.

So when we show up to our house with our little baby stone sporting a skull and cross bone blanket, you will know why his nick name will be "stoner".
SOMEONE HELP ME!
Joan, he is YOUR son. Fix him!!!

Easter from Aunt Kim

So Aunt Kim and Grandma Joan send boxes to the kids for Easter. I couldn't find my camera when we opened Grandma's box, but I found it for Aunt Kim's.

She bought me some cotton Candy. I LOVE COTTON CANDY! Don't look too close at the pic, I wasn't feeling good that day. But I did keep down the cotton candy. I guess my prayers were answered. Jakob got a super mario brothers tshirt. He wore it that night to bed. Then wore it the next day. and tried to wear it again for bed. I told him I would wash it and he could wear it clean the next day. But I forgot to wash it, so he said he would. 20 min latter he said the shirt was done. It turns out he just put it in the dryer to try and trick me. But I am no dummy! I only fell for that once. Now I make sure it gets washed and dried.

Kellsie got one with dogs and cats on the front. She wears it all the time too. She loves anything that aunt kim buys here.
Logan got spider man. Jakob tries to borrow that one all the time too. But Logan makes sure that he is the ONLY one who wears it.

Aunt kim also send chap stick, candy, magnets and stickers (Jakob's stickers ended up decorating my bed. THANKS AUNT KIM! I took my 1/2 to scrap all the easter egg stickers off).

New fridge and Stove

So Jeff broke my stove and we had to get another one. But of course once we were there, we also bought a fridge.

This is my new stove. We bought it at a scratch and dent store. It was 1200.00 but we bought it for 500.00. It was dented on the side, but since it is going between my cabinets, I didn't care!

Here is my new fridge. It was 2400.00 but we bought it for 999.00. Again, it is scratched on the sides a little, but it was going between a wall and cabinets. And I am sure the kids will dent it a little more within the next week or so.
I told the kids to only put the good magnets on the front (like the cute Easter bunny ones that Aunt Kim sent) But the crappy buffalo bills magnet had to go on the side. I don't want people to see the horrible side of Jeff.
Here is Jeff reading the instructions before installing the stove. Do you see the old stove how it is missing the glass on the door. That is right, he dropped it and broke it. It wouldn't keep the heat in the stove anymore. It took 20 min to cook cookies and over 1 1/2 hours to cook a casserole.

Here is Mario and Jeff putting the door back on after they had to take it off to get the fridge in. It is never as easy as it is suppose to be. At least the door went back on. That would have been bad.

Poor boys had to unload a stove and fridge. THANKS MARIO for the help. You rock!

Roar...

WE went to the Dino museum and had a lot of fun. We took the 3 girls from across the street with us.
They have a whole section for the kids to be hands on. They could have spent 1 hour in the room.

This was Jakob's favorite part. The dino bones.

My Guest Book! Check it out!
