Was that a threat? Are you kidding me? This is PTO! Not the run for President of the USA. I just can't believe this crap is still happening!
NICE! Just what I need to start the day off. Can't she just loose the race and leave? Does she have to be mean to me. I didn't do anything to her and she knows it! But yet...

Anyways, I am asking her to come in the middle of November to host a party, but just a scanning party. The prices are on their website for the scanning. But if you scan in 500 or more pictures (please, I think I have a million) it is 19 cents per picture. About 38.00 for 500 pictures. And that price is per person. She says they can put it on a disk or load it right onto their website for storage.
Anyway, If you are interested in getting your pictures that are not digital in digital format, please email me or post a comment. This is big for me. I have spent hours scanning in pictures and I haven't made a dent. And most of my pictures from when I was a kid are turning yellow (mostly because my mom hot glued them in a book. Way to go mom!), so I want to get those done as well.
Here is the website if you want to check out the company. www.heritagemakers.com

3 MINUTE COFFEE MUG CHOCOLATE CAKE
1 Coffee Mug (large mug)
4 tablespoons flour (that's plain flour, not self-rising)
4 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons baking cocoa
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoons chocolate chips (optional)
Some nuts (optional)Small splash of vanilla
Add dry ingredients to mug, and mix well .
Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk and oil and mix well.
Add the chocolate chips (if using) and vanilla, and mix again.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes on high.
The cake will rise over the top of the mug, but don't be alarmed!
Allow to cool a little, and tip out onto a plate if desired. EAT!
Thanks to my sister in law, Kim, for this great idea!!!
So Friday afternoon, they dropped off their 3 boys and picked them up on Saturday night around 11:30pm.
The kids had a blast. Porter is Logan's age, so they played Madden 09 and various other Wii game. Zach and Jakob are in Preschool together, so they played upstairs with all the toys. And Andrew is 2year old and he played with Kellsie the whole time.
On Saturday we I took them to their house for a couple hours to play outside. But other than that they played at our house. Jeff was off on Saturday (the start of his week vacation), so he was able to help.
The only hard thing was remembering to change Andrew's diapers. Jakob has been out of diapers for almost 3 years now, so it is hard to go back to taking care of those kid of needs. But we worked through it.
Point is, the kids had a blast playing with their friends.
Kellsie did come down stairs on Friday and told us that Andrew (who was in his crib) kept throwing stuffed animals at her, so she couldn't sleep. I laughed because she was the one handing him back the stuffed animals. She is too funny!

But here comes my worst nightmare. I was running with Stephanie. She has the background in finance. I was counting on the first couple weeks working with her going over the finances and fixing the mess that is currently there.
But that dream is not there anymore.I WANT STEPHANIE!!!
Note to Stephanie- I will keep the dream alive in my heart! I will never let it die! I am so sad! BOOK FAIR FOREVER!
My stomach is in knotts. I told my friend that I just want to get drunk and forget everything. Too bad I don't drink. Any other ideas?
So wish us luck!

He was in the bathroom stall and at least 2 4th grade boys were kicking his door open over and over again. He told them to stop , but they didn't. He was so scared. He thought they were coming in to hurt him.
Another boy came in and told them boys he was telling and then they ran away.
While in the nurses office the PE coach came in and told me she found one of the boys and he was in with the Principal. Of course I waited outside and when I saw the kid I was upset to find out that I knew him. I helped him carry stuff to his class one time. I told him that the boy he was picking on was my kid. Of course he felt really bad (not that it mattered). I also found his teacher and told her (she is working on it too).
What I want to do is hunt them down and smack them around. I don't like bullies! And I am still mad about it!
I just don't understand the bully thing. If I ever found out that my kids bullied someone I would ground them for life! But I guess I can't control other peoples kids.

The other area is Parenting classes once a month. This month's theme was organization. I was not planning on going to the parenting classes, but I did anyway ( I have my reasons! I was trying to get people to vote for us in the PTO elections).
We started out with a packet that had folders with different headings ( medical documents, school paperwork, teacher correspondence, etc). We spent 30 min going over each folder and talking about the types of things we can put in them. You know, like with the medical folder you can put bills, recpts, dr info, etc (in case you didn't know).
Then afterwards we spent 20 min on making an art project. We were given magazines, markers, glue and a paper. We were suppose to make a collage about our families.
ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Jakob did that in preschool last week!
Anyway, I did my collage. Mine was the best! I was the only one who finished. I think I will hang it up on the fridge. At the end of the class I got a certificate saying I passed the class.
THANK HEAVENS! AT least now, I am closer to becoming a better parent.
If you are interested in taking any parenting classes, I think the next one is on feeding your kids, the teacher said we can bring a friend. I am inviting all of you! Maybe we can play with play dough next!

The lesson was on forgiveness and in the middle of the lesson it had a great object lesson. You give each kids a piece of paper and have them make an airplane. Then you line them up telling them you are going to see which ones goes the farthest. Right before they toss it, you put a paperclip on the side of the airplane. When they fly the plane, they notice that it just crashes. Then they can fly the plane again without the clip and it goes a lot farther. Point of the object lesson is we can go farther and straighter without the weight of a grudge.
I thought it would be perfect! I have mostly boys, so I knew for sure they would get into it and love it. And learn from it!
Along with that thinking, I should have known. I have been teaching Sunday school classes off an on for 14 years. I know what to do with kids and what NOT to do with kids. I know better than to let them make a paper airplanes in the middle of the lesson and expect them NOT to play with them. What was I thinking? My own fault. I knew better.
So everyone once in a while during the remainder of my lesson, I would see an airplane go up and crash back down.
Again, My own fault.

here that gets surplus of various items and sells them at a good price. I went there on Friday to see what I could find. They had a brand new sheet set (queen) that was pink with polka dots. The whole set was 12.00. Kellsie put her bed together today and she loves the sheets. They are the Tshirt material and they look really good in her room. The set came in a draw string bad and I am sure that will become part of her purse/bag collection that is taking over her room.
It has been harder than I thought. I figured the people currently in positions would be mad and say mean things, but I had no idea on how crazy horrible it would get. It is just a PTO for heaven's sake.
But Stephanie and I are keeping out cool . We are playing the peacemaker type roll, trying not to lower ourselves to the mean rumors.
I sure hope the people who are tired of the current people will stand up and vote. I guess we will see in about 48 hours.
Either way, Stephanie and I started on the Book Fair. It will be October 20-24th. We will have Clifford there that wed night to take pictures with the kids. It is a Safari theme and we are really excited about it. I even bought a stuffed animal elephant (Herbert is his name) to display at the Fair. Jeff thought it was funny. I am not a big stuffed animal fan, but I fell in love with this elephant. I will post pics latter.
Anyway, wish us luck on the PTO thing.
We got home about 9:30pm and the kids went right to bed.
Great night! I love hanging out with my family!

Poor baby! I told him that there aren't any Ghosts and they aren't allowed in my house. He told me I was lying! WHAT???
As I come to find out, in Primary (his church class) they were talking about the Holy Ghost. They talked about how the Holy Ghost comes to you and helps you know right from wrong.
He had been scared all week that he would see the Holy Ghost. I tried to convince him that he would never see him, but he is convinced that He is coming. He asked me to say a prayer that the Holy Ghost would never come in our home.
On a side note, we have been trying in our family prayers to invite the Holy Ghost into our home. Poor Jakob is so scared. But at least he is talking about it and maybe one day soon I can convince him that they Holy Ghost is not a really Ghost, like the scary one he is thinking of.

On friday it was popcorn day, so we were there 10 min early to start handing goodies out. We were in and out of the PTO room trying to get them all passed out. We also had two meetings with the principal. Just a really long day.
I was glad to come home and start reading the last book in the Twilight series. Jeff was off on Saturday, so we slept in and when I got up I started reading the book again.
Our family went to an Elder's Quarm dinner and after that I went right back to finish the book. I really liked the ending.
Today is easy too. Just relaxing and enjoying the day. Jeff is making dinner. All is right with the world. Until Monday when I go back into the Lion's den of the PTO room to help with a fundraiser. A week from monday are the votes!

Well, now that I am running for PTO Pres I have to laugh! It is harder than I thought to be nice to someone when they are being horrible behind your back. I am trying so hard. I want to tell everyone about the dishonesty and the backstabbing, but then I will be doing the same thing that they are doing and that is not what I want. Right? Right!
I guess today was a bad day. It will get better. I know of some great people in the school who are going to be running with me. Stephanie is running for Tres. I am thrilled about that! She is amazing to work with and she would do a fantastic job. Sharese And Gina want to run for Secretary. I am hoping that one of them will change their mind and run for something else, so that I don't have to vote between them. That doesn't sound like fun at all.
Anyways, I am off to take care of Logan. I brought him home with me from school. He was not looking so good while we were doing the science in class.

Right at the end of the Fair we sat and watched a band play. The the songs were in Spainsh and half of them in English, but they were ok. We sat and listened to a couple of songs. On one Song Jakob jumped up and started dancing. It was so funny. I think he might be the only one in the house with rytham. No fear. No embarrasment. Just good old fashion fun! ROCK ON JAKOB!
there is a whole section dedicated to Old Mc Donald's Farm. The kids got through the farm collecting food, learning how to milk a cow, rope a steer, pick some apples, ride a tractor and get a treat at the end. The kids had fun! They even gave Jeff and I a pop sickle afterwards too. Score for us!
We went to the Fair on Saturday and Jakob did the Pee Wee Rodio. Logan was too old. But here is Jakob walking out with the other cowboys and then the other video is of Jakob pretending he is riding a bull. Grandma's, Grandpa's, Aunts and Uncles would like these. ENJOY! HE IS TOO CUTE!
She let me ask the question, and she laughed and told me how to fix it. I feel really dumb. It is all fixed. I did loose the most current info , but at least the majority is still there. I am so thankful to have it back and working right. I guess I hope I fixed all the problems and it keeps turning on.
Jeff helped me get it up and running again, but ever time I go to open it, the calendar turns to 2004 and I have to scroll through months and months to get to the date I am on. It takes forever. Jeff says it is the internal battery and he can't fix that. I am so disorganized without it. How sad that a 100.00 electronic device can run my social life better than I can. Secrets out!
I am going to go on the Internet and see if I can get any info on getting this thing working again.

Anyway, last week Jeff and I were talking about some things going on at the school and we (mostly him, because I didn't want to do it at first) decided that I would run for Pres of the PTO.
The vote is on the 22nd of this month and I am really nervous about it. I have been telling people (teachers and parents) that I will be running, but I have not seen the PTO Pres to let her know. I have gone in three times to talk to her, but she had other app ts. I want to do the right thing, and let her know I will be running against her...we will see how it plays out. She is not going to be happy at all and I am sure there will be some talking that will be very negative in my direction.
I really think I could do a good job as PTO pres. Not because I think I am so good, but because I know a lot of good parents at the school who would pick up the slack for my weakness'.
I also think it would be fun. I love planning activities and fundraisers and I think I am fairly strong in that area. I also know I would be able to get a lot of parents to help, so the work load would not be as high as it is in PTO right now.
All theory! Just wish me luck on my nerves. I am not the best at making myself sound good and I am sure I need to say something at the PTO meeting to let people know that I am capable of leading the PTO. I wish I could take my friends and let them talk for me. I am sure I could pay them enough to say good things about me.
