Every Saturday we have to do some chores to help keep the house clean.
I write a list if chores I would like done around the house (wash windows, wash doors, organize kit cabinets, etc). Usually about 12. Then the kids rotate who is in charge. The kid in charge writes the numbers 1 to 15 down on paper and rewrites the jobs on those numbers and includes freespace, 10 min job and kids choice.
Rules:
1. Each job is only 20 min. No extra time allowed. But u can finish early.
2. All people at home have to clean
3. No complaining!!!
4. Only 6 jobs allowed (2 hours max each Saturday)
Then we gather in living room and on the count of three we show our hand and reveal the number of fingers we are holding up. Add them all up and that's what number job we do.
The kids like it (most of the
Time). And I love it!
