Angry birds

The boys really like playing angry birds on our cell phones. So they took the angry bird stuffed animals and used zoe's bouncer to launch them. Soooo funny!

Science fair

Jeff and I are so proud of Kellsie and Logan!!!! Logan took 2nd place in the science fair and Kellsie took honorable mention. They worked so hard and we are so happy for them!!!!!

Proud mom

Just got a call from the kids school. Both Logan and Kellsie placed in the science fair!!!! I'm going to their assembly today to find out what place. I'm so proud of them!

Rice cereal

Zoe had her first taste of rice cereal today. I'll post video latter. Kellsie took video while Lukas and I fed her. Well do some more again tomorrow!

Gratfull

Thinking about how much I love my kids! They make me laugh! I love playing with them, cooking with them and learning with them. They are growing up so fast. As I enjoy watching them grow and develop I'm just a little sad that they can't stay little.

Day off

Today the kids have off from school. I was hoping to sleep in till 8am to give myself a little treat. Since the kids are older they sleep in a little longer on days off.

No dice!!! Zoe up at 545am and Lukas up at 6pm!

I love being a mom! I understand and accept the sacrifices that motherhood demands. But I would really like to sleep in one morning! You know, wake up without a an alarm.

Back to reality...

Prayer

Our family has family
Prayer every night. Lukas has been talking along side if whom ever was praying. But last night Lukas gave the family prayer! We are so proud of him!!!!!

Sat chore

We cleaned all the doors in the house today as a chore. Jake and Logan said they couldn't reach the top, so I sentry help them. Looks like they solved the problem their selves!!!!

Saturday morning chores

Every Saturday we have to do some chores to help keep the house clean.

I write a list if chores I would like done around the house (wash windows, wash doors, organize kit cabinets, etc). Usually about 12. Then the kids rotate who is in charge. The kid in charge writes the numbers 1 to 15 down on paper and rewrites the jobs on those numbers and includes freespace, 10 min job and kids choice.

Rules:
1. Each job is only 20 min. No extra time allowed. But u can finish early.
2. All people at home have to clean
3. No complaining!!!
4. Only 6 jobs allowed (2 hours max each Saturday)

Then we gather in living room and on the count of three we show our hand and reveal the number of fingers we are holding up. Add them all up and that's what number job we do.

Feeding zofia on the couch... Lukas runs up and starts shooting me with the automatic nerf gun! Little turkey got me four times!!!!

Logan carries Jake down stairs and yells "soldier down". Then he brought Zoe down yelling the same thing. Ha!

Bday cake

Kellsie made my cake tonight! Chocolate cookies with pink frosting in the middle. Whoopie cakes! And she MADe me a candle. She is the best daughter. Thanks Kellsie!

Jeff

Jeff took off most of this past week. It has been great having him home! We moved a bunch of book shelves and books around. We cleaned out our master closet (tons of paperwork! I hate paperwork! toss it all!!!), played with the kids and spend tons of time with the family.

He goes back to work tomorrow. I'm totally sad! Maybe I can surprise him and show up at his work for lunch!

So Zoe rolled over last night! And she's teething! Crazy girl!!!

After we watched the ball drop, we went to bed. Church has moved to 9am ! Happy New Year!

New Years Eve Dinner with the Family

Last year we started a new tradition. For dinner we have all appetizers!  This year Jeff made: South western egg rolls., buffalo chicken chunks, mozzarella sticks and loaded potato skins! YUM!!! 

Zofia was a little made that she didn't get any. Poor little girl seems really interested in food!

Dance Party

This is the first ever Giras Family Dance off! Kellsie got Dance Central 2 for Christmas. So for new years eve we spend some time getting our grove on.  Soooo much fun!

I think my favorite part was when Jeff and Jakob danced to "Baby Got Back". Jeff has some major moves! But I am afraid that if I post any pictures of him dancing, then he will post some of me.
