So I went to the Dr's this morning to get my Rogam shot. It is a shot for RH Neg blood types. My favorite thing is they get to put the shot right in your but! And it burns! I hate it!
After the shot, she told me my glucose labs came in.. High range is 130-140. I am 151. Way too high (says the nurse). I get to go and take the 3 hour glucose test where I can't eat for 12 hour before and I have to have my blood drawn when I get there and every hour until it is over (my next favorite thing).
You see, I have done this with all my kids. The first test is high and then second test is fine. Except with Kellsie. The dr. put me right into the 3 hour test. Not sure if I had other symptoms or if that is just what they did 10 years ago. Can't remember.
So I don't want to do it! But then I read online that if I do have high blood sugar and don't take care of it, the baby will be prone to type 2 diabetes latter and some other complications. Why did I have to read that? Of course I have to take the test now. But I still don't want to, and I am not going to be happy about it! And I am going to make my hubby take of time from work to go it with me. I'll teach him to knock me up!
