Happy Bday to you...my dear Lukas

Today was his bday. Aug 6th. He is 1 years old. The Bradshaw girls and Kellsie made cupcakes for everyone. This time he got the eating bday cake right. Here is the mini cupcake I gave him. He is thinking about it...
Takes it right up in the air...

and shoves it right in his hair...that's my kid! I love you so much!

The Bradshaws visit

The Bradshaws came down for a 2 day visit. On friday Doug and Gina went to the Temple and I watched all 9 kids (they took Christopher, their 7 month old baby to be watched at the Temple). WE made cupcakes (because this was Lukas' really bday)
We played outside. Here is Jakob and Timmy. We like to call them the Bo Bo Brothers.

Here are all the kids playing in the dirt. Want to know what my kitchen looked like when they all came in?

More Bradshaws

Abby was playing on the swing set
Jakob and Elsie

Kate was building a castle

Kellsie was pulling weeds in her flower bed. The flowers wern't growing very well in her area. We must of replanted 4-5 times. But these last flowers look like they will be staying. YEAH!

More of the Bradshaws

Isn't Lily adorable?
Lukas was having so much fun outside. I was so happy is wasn't hot!

Look at how cute he is walking!
Give the kids a shoval and dirt and you rock as a mom!

Timmy, Jakob's best friend in the whole world!

This is the cake the girls bought him. The lady at the store spelled his name wrong and I didn't catch it. AHHH! Sorry Luke
Logan helped him open his gifts...these are his new shoes...thanks grandma Joan

He got a small football and small basketball from the boys. Kellsie got him some dinos that he loves. We didn't wrap any other gifts...he is 1 and doens't have that much attention!
Grandma bought him socks, 2 pairs of jeans, onzies and 7 long sleeve shirts for winter. Thanks grandma Joan.

Lukas's bday

We celebrated Lukas bday on thurs Aug 5th. We asked some neighbors over for cake and ice cream. Pictures of the gifts are to follow. Josh and Alex (and their mom Kara) our friends down the street came
Marueen, Mary and Juillian came over (the girls across the street). The girls wanted to buy Lukas his first bday cake. Isn't is great?

This was Lukas touching his cake. He wouldn't get messy. Just kept touching and touching it.

This is while we were singing. Wasn't much on waiting, but Jeff kept his hands off most of it.

This is how lukas looked after I smeared frosting all over his face. Come on kid... I know you can do it!

Dog Shelter

Kellsie wants to start work on her Silver Award for Cadetts. She choose to work with Animals in need. So I called up a friend (Marie) who works with animals in need and asked if she could give us some info on what was out there.

She called the next day and wanted to know if Kellsie could go to Los Lunas with her and her granddaughter Hayley to do a pet parage for the Los Lunas Animal Shelter. The city was having a big night with tons of people and they wanted kids to walk the dogs around to try and interst people in dog adoption. Of course Kellsie jumped at the chance!

When my boys found out she was going, they wanted to go too. Logan even missed cub scouts to go. Logan's dog loved him so much. He kept rolling on his back to be rubbed. The dog didn't have a name, but he was so adorable!

Logan while he was walking around.
When we were leaving, the dog kept putting his face and paws under the door so Logan would stay. Logan had a hard time leaving. In fact the only reason the dog is still in the shelter is because Logan has a very MEAN mom!
